Youth Blast Challenge Camp
The Youthblast camp was held during the school holidays from Oct.1 - Oct.4 and was attended by 49 young people from diverse backgrounds. The program was full of activities, including a trip to Litchfield Park and Rum Jungle where young people could interact in a safe, supported environment. The camp was run by Melaleuca Refugee Centre, Mission Australia Youth Beat, and the Red Cross the SHAK and Energry Cruz programs with funding from the Office of Youth Affairs and Duke of Edinburgh Step Up Program. Thanks to all the organizing committee for such a massive effort, all the workers on the day, the volunteers from NT Police, Anglicare Connect and Melaleuca Refugee Centre. And of course thanks to all the young people who participated making this such a wonderful event!!
