Youth Blast

The second Youth Blast Blue Light Dance Party was a big success at Chambers Crescent Theatre, Malak Shopping Centre, on 1st September. It ran from 7:00 to 10:00 PM; about 83 young people attended the party. Many thanks again to the Blue Light Disco Association and Police Officers who were again present on the night, making it safe for the young participants. Thanks also to Salah Protective Services for assisting with security. The SHAK Kids Advisory Task Force and SHAK workers were there to help organise and manage the event. Melaleuca Refugee Centre, Mission Australia, Multicultural Council of the NT, and Brown's Mart Community Arts also contributed to the success of the event. A Blue Light Dance Party was last held at Chambers Crescent Theatre in 2005. See photos of the disco here.
